Papa was a name Mack's wife used when talking about God !

I am a back sliding Christian of some 25 years with leanings towards evolution ....not a combination  that have ever gone together
Before reading this book I put myself in a catagory that likes the idea of life after death but has trouble with the idea of a divine being sitting in judgement over his children. And a Devil ready to unleash fire and Brimstone.

I believe that we have a duty to each other whatever our interpretation of what religion is," any religion" .
We have all been pressured since mankind could stand up to conform whether it be to another human being, another tribe , invading power, government, the law and even the church. We have always had to conform and take direction whether we like it or not it keeps us all in check and stops us killing each other. It has made us civilized but at a cost....! Our freedom !
i have felt this for some time and have battled within myself to find peace....bringing me back to my title  "What is The meaning of life??"

Please read the Shack and decide for yourself what you think . Let me know whether you feel different, If you are religious did it give you comfort in it's message, If you are sitting on the fence have you fell off and what side did you land ? If you don't believe did you like the the message the book put out. I have my views but i would love to open a discussion with as many people as possible.
