I am not a nodding dog.

by Beanyem @ 24/04/2007 - 21:15:25

Ok.
News.

Went to look around another school on Monday night as they have a job advertised.

There was 8 of us being shown around.

The head was really nice but he kept saying how 120 applications had been requested so most of us would not get an interview.

I had forgotten how horrible these things are, each person trying to out do the others. “oh you teach year 1”
“oh I know the head and his family, don’t you?”
Etc etc

Everyone acting like nodding dogs

"here is the ICT suit"
nod nod nod

"we are a big school"
nod nod nod

Then he said they have set up cameras in the rooms so the head can do lesson observations from his office!!
How awful I thought, everyone else
"oh, yes very good idea" nod nod nod.

Such bollocks!

So instead I am writing my application for my current job.

No more nodding dog for me.

Relax and Enjoy

This song makes me feel happy.

Still trying to do my application form.

It's sunday and all is good with the world!

:)

The dream is dead.

by Beanyem @ 22/04/2007 - 16:15:29

I can't believe that I thought he was so great. My illusions are shattered; this spoof says it all really.

Who's next then?

Never again.

by Beanyem @ 22/04/2007 - 13:57:25

Hi all,

Just got up, finally stopped feeling drunk.
I did feel ashamed of myself when I realised how much I had drunk of Friday night. My friends are wonderful and they bought me lots of drunks and yep, I drank them all.

Spent yesterday in a dream like haze, bumping into furniture and feeling dizzy, not good. Not impressed with myself.

Anyway, enough is enough. I have to face facts, I am not 17 and getting that drunk just makes me look like a prat.

So no more to P**** for me. Will do a month off alcohol starting on May 1st and start driving to places. This will:

1. Stop me making a fool of myself
2. Mean that I spend less and therefore can spend more time with my friends as I have more money.

Anyway, meant to be doing work now. Will get on, still feeling distanced from my body at the moment, very strange, Hopefully back to normal tomorrow.

Love Bean xx

p.s. watched the Green Mile last night and cried loads and loads. It was great but I don't understand why he had to die.

Bye for now

by Beanyem @ 20/04/2007 - 18:27:22

Going to pick up bf from work (grumble, moan etc etc) then microwave tea as unable to cook for one (why bother??), then night in as have no money so can't join friends (moan, moan)

Hummmm, feeling very sorry for myself.

Might have to stop at Summerfield for a bottle of wine.

Moan moan moan.

Back later. xx

My Happy Day

by Beanyem @ 15/04/2007 - 19:56:51

Just got home from being at a family BBQ with my M and D and sister, bf and his 2 kids.

It was really nice and no one fell out or argued or got mad with each pother.
I spent some quality time with my family in a good atmosphere.

However my bf did get moody with me when I started talking about wanting a dog.

I know I am out all day, but my friends M and D have a terrier and they walk it every evening and it is happy all day mooching around.

I want a dog!!!

Bf is being hard…… must try to think of a way to make him change his mind.

Anyway, good day had by all.

Bf is on his way back from Liverpool after dropping his kids off and I have just packed my school bag for work tomorrow.

Looking forward to seeing the kids on Tuesday as I have missed them (they are very very cute) but I hate staff training days where we sit around and discuss crap policies and bollocks for the whole day.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still, holding onto my good mood and happy thoughts.

Have a great day tomorrow everyone. xx

I didn’t understand the bit when he was in the car at the end and the girl switched the TV off.
Does that mean he is dead or back in a coma?

My brain hurts, help!!!

I have defeated the cookie monster!

by Beanyem @ 10/04/2007 - 23:02:41

Because I am sooo clever I decided to change my internet security options, oh yes, clever me.

Problem being that since I decided to not allow cookies (thinking them to be big, bad and dangerous to know) I was unable to come on blog.co.uk as you have to allow cookies, but you all know this....

Anyway, after much clicking of buttons and questioning "why oh why" I solved the problem so I’m back!!

Hi all!!!

But not back for long, as very tired after my long day following a late night.

So bye bye and I will return tomorrow now that the cookie monster is dead!

xx

Question for all.

by Beanyem @ 01/04/2007 - 20:50:23

Oh shit, must go.
Cheese sandwich is calling.
Just before I do a question for all....

Should the man always go to the bar?

I think yes.

My bf thinks no.

We have now been arguing about this for over 5 years.

I don't mean always pay - I would give my bf money at the beginning of the night.

Looking forward to your comments. xx

Thank f**K it's the holiday!

Hi all,

Not been on for ages because it has been such a busy week.

After work:
Theatre trip to see Titanic the musical – I am so sorry to say so but it just couldn’t sink fast enough. And, it does spoil it when you already know the ending.

Lots and lots of marking and filling in on trick sheets.

At work:
Assessment fun…followed by more assessment fun. Just a brief note on the assessments I have had to do this week, all in the name of ‘personalised learning!’

1. Number of letter sounds each child can write.
2. Number of letter sounds each child can read.
3. Number of letter names each child can write.
4. Number of letter names each child can read.
5. Number of reception key words each child can read. (45)
6. Number of reception key words each child can spell. (45)
7. Number of year 1/2 words each child can read. (115)
8. Number of year 1/2 words each child can spell. (115)
9. Reading level. (They have to do a non-fiction and fiction test to ascertain this).
10. Writing level (they do an assessed p4eice of writing).

I won’t bore you with the math’s assessment details as well, oh and the science ….. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh]

But it is the holiday!!!!

I am happy, relaxed and a little sleepy after my 2 hour afternoon snooze.
Hope you are all enjoying Easter. xx
